Garfield

No personal space of mine would be complete without mentioning this feline. I'm not sure I love all cats, but this one is for sure on top of my list.
He hates Mondays, loves food, sleep and strong coffee, kicks Oddie whenever the chance presents itself. The only item he genuinely cares about is his teddy bear Pookie.

His sarcasm is always present and his target is his "master" Jon.

So, even though he is fat, lazy, mean more often than not, i love him!

anklets - tourist symbol or fashion statement?

For a while now i’ve been meaning to wear one of these. Naturally my first response was “i’ve never seen guys wear them”…sure, a lot of girls were fashionable with those tiny silver/gold threads around their gorgeous ankles, but somehow the idea of a man wearing such jewelry was not appealing.
That is until i went to Egypt. In the airport i saw a tourist, wearing, you guessed it, an anklet. And it was not a metal one, but one made of hemp i think. And it looked as natural as he was born with it. I was hooked.

Then, last year while in Jerusalem, I saw another pair of tourists with threads around their ankles. And I began to wonder – will male anklets become a fashionable item or is it travelers symbol?
Either way, i bought some leather cords at a crafts store and made myself a simple anklet. Walking down the street I was pretty self-conscious, having the feeling that people were looking at me and pointing, not really seeing a guy wearing an anklet before. But it was all in my head. People don’t give a damn about you, even when they should.

And even though I get bored easily by such items, I will wear it with pride until the day I take it off!
